This project was developed as part of a climate-themed Hackathon. Our team, composed of five members, had 48 hours to conceive, develop, and present an initiative aimed at improving the climate. We are proud to have won the prestigious Best Idea Award.
In summary, our concept revolves around a small-scale social network where users can add friends and initiate or propose new challenges. These challenges represent goals to achieve, such as using a reusable water bottle or a bamboo toothbrush. Occasionally, these challenges can also take the form of events, like the "clean walk". When a challenge is accepted, the user's friends can confirm their honesty. Each day, since accepting the challenge, the user's score increases, earning them ranks such as Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond. This scoring system allows for friendly comparisons, motivating each other to be the best.
In addition to that, the website offers users the ability to challenge their friends to complete shared challenges, such as carpooling, for example.
Furthermore, one of the key features of our project lies in partnerships. To motivate users, they are rewarded with gifts related to established partnerships when they achieve certain scores or complete specific challenges. These rewards can come in the form of discount codes for eco-friendly products, guided tours, and much more.
